In October 2021 authors, editors and discussants explored the themes of Rethinking Peace Mediation in a talk hosted by Columbia School of International and Public Affairs.
UN Women Arabic publish a new report on how collaborative leadership models can be used to increase the representation of women in high level peace mediation. In particular it considers the potential for using co-mediation, by two mediators or a panel of mediators, as a Temporary Special Measure for increasing equality in peace mediation appointments.
A new report from UN Women Arabic highlights some of the ways in which women can be included in Track One mediation, peace and transition processes.

In October 2020 Conciliation Resources published a new report celebrating the work of the members of the Women Mediators Across the Commonwealth network. The report, titled 'Women Mediators: Bridging the Peace Gap' was authored by Catherine Turner and highlights the strategies the contributions that women mediators make to peace and security across the Commonwealth, the strategies they use, and the barriers they encounter. It presents a series of recommendations for international organisations, governments and civil society for supporting the work of women mediators.

In December 2019 the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) organised an international seminar on Strengthening Women’s Participation in Peace Processes: What Roles and Responsibilities for States? Building on Italy’s goal to strengthen the role of women in peaceprocesses and in all decision-making processes as formalised in its Third National Action Plan on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000); its spearheading of the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network (MWMN); as well as its activefacilitation of women’s participation in peace and political processes across the Mediterranean region, the high-level seminar examined the role of Member States in advancing the full and effective participation of women in mediation and peace processes.
In June 2019 Catherine participated in an event on mediation organised by the European Union External Action Service for the Mediation Support Community of Practice. Catherine presented a session on how to foster more meaningful collaboration between mediation support organisations and women’s mediator networks.
Catherine participated in a panel discussion, co-hosted by the International Peace Institute (IPI), on Women Leaders for Peace. The panel, chaired by IPI's Dr Sarah Taylor, included Christina Shaheen, Gender Advisor in the UN Special Envoy for Syria, and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Jody Williams.
In April 2019 Catherine travelled to Rome to deliver training on mediation and conflict analysis for the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network.
